About crenavirota

Built by analysts, for analysts who want practical finance education

We started crenavirota in 2019 after watching too many talented people struggle with corporate finance concepts that should've been straightforward. Our approach strips away theory nobody uses and focuses on what actually matters when you're building models at 11pm.

How we got here

The whole thing started when three of us were working at different firms across Sydney. We'd meet up and complain about the same thing: training programs that cost thousands but taught textbook theory nobody actually applied.

One of us had been building side projects teaching junior analysts Excel shortcuts and valuation methods. People kept asking for more content. So we figured—why not create something that reflects how finance actually works?

By 2021, we'd developed our first full program. It wasn't polished, but analysts loved it because it solved real problems they faced every week. We've since expanded to cover M&A modeling, forecasting techniques, and scenario analysis. Still, we keep everything grounded in actual work situations rather than academic exercises.

Who's behind the programs

Our instructors have spent years in corporate finance roles at mid-sized firms and large institutions. They know what works because they've done it themselves—and they can explain it without jargon overload.

Annika Vesterskov

Lead Finance Instructor

Annika joined us in 2020 after working in equity research and investment banking for seven years. She's particularly good at breaking down complicated valuation models into manageable steps. Her sessions on DCF analysis and comparable company analysis consistently get the highest feedback scores because she uses real deal examples instead of hypothetical scenarios. Outside of teaching, she consults on financial modeling projects and occasionally writes about corporate finance trends.
